A Poet's Place

I have some friends that like to write poetry so I've decided to give them a voice. I do have to admit that I've asked them for submissions but they didn't get it them in to me so here are a few poems that I've written in the past:
As I Sit Homeless
by Jaidene Anderlini

As I sit homeless
In L.A.X.
I watch destinations,
Goals, and aspirations
saunter down
concourses and disappear.
They don’t disappear
into blackness they
merely evaporate into
unquestioned apathy.
I hear dreams paged
echoing in corridors,
And remain.
Vibrations in the mind’s
empty halls.
It’s a dream of fruitless
expectations floating
like a menagerie
in front of the
shame of me.

and one more,

Surreal Beauty
by
Jaidene Anderlini

Bruising the eyes
Winking
Marching, swaying,
Twisting,
turn,turn
bow, bow,
smile, smile
Simulate
The look of mirrors.
Face lifts rise.
Skinny shadows of humans
Runway ghosts
laughing, laughing,
pointing, pointing,
dancing, dancing
Bemused by
Broken mirrors.

Please, if there is anthing you would like to contribute I would love for you to send it to jaidenea@msn.com, and if I feel that it is appropriate I would enjoy giving you a voice too.
